RES FABULA
Traditional Bookplates
If we have lost our way,
books will surely guide us back.
May we extend to them the same courtesy.
With Res Fabula bookplates, anyone who happens upon your books by chance or by design will almost certainly be compelled to return them, for these traditional ex libris, standard-bearers of history, sentinels of morality and maledictions, and caryatids of ponderous gravitas, will command it.

Regionally printed after original hand-carved designs, all of them created by a real-life depressed and frustrated artist person, a Res Fabula bookplate is an authentic objet d'art, a handsome accessory for your home library, and a sophisticated gift for any book lover (or for those misguided souls for whom we cannot bring ourselves to purchase them their coveted rag under any condition).

In these times of soulless ephemera and ideological screed, after ceaseless days of thankless toil, unpleasant social media exchanges, and torturous grammar, Res Fabula bookplates are the stalwart custodians promising to usher us into the blissful respite of literature, art, and rare contemplation.

Many designs feature printed flaps and doors, testaments to the hidden mysteries of life and our desire to know (and to suffer terribly for) them. These features may be assembled by hand or can be left out with no great loss to the design or purpose of the label. Ignorantia sit beatitudo.

Every label is printed on recycled kraft that itself is also ultimately recyclable and compostable.
A non-toxic, vegan starch-based and water-activated adhesive provides a permanent bond with your beloved tome.
